The school would like to congratulate our Brilliant Club graduates for completing the programme. It was an absolute joy to watch our students, together with students from others schools, graduate form the programme at Southampton University on May 9th.
To graduate, the students had to work on the theme of “why is pain good for you?” with a PhD graduate for 5 sessions. Students then had to complete an extended assignment, which should be at the Key stage level above the one they are currently at, to graduate. All our students agreed that the task really challenged them, and that reading Nietzsche and writing 2,000+ words essay was tough. It is therefore a huge achievement to have completed the programme! Part of the Brilliant Club scholars’ programme is also to give students a better understanding of applying to competitive universities and what the benefits of getting a degree are. We were very fortunate to visit both Southampton and Exeter universities, and this made our students realise the range of opportunities that they will have as they continue their studies.
So congratulations to the All Saints Brilliant Club class of 2018: William Hyde, Dillon Haunton, Joanna Orrell, Gabby Hannigan, Ben Thomas, Strephon Thomas, Scott Greaney, Libby Hymas, Ellie Younger and Elise Allen.
