Before Christmas, students in Year 7 took part in a two week long sponsored reading challenge for the “rRad for Good” charity, who help raise money for new books for children spending time in the hospital. The students chose their own challenges based on their own reading habits and asked family and friends to sponsor them for every page, book, author, series, per hour or minute they read in the given time.
The Year group raised a total of £84 for which the school has been awarded a choice of free books for our school library. Isabel raised a whopping £46 and as our highest fundraiser was presented with a £10 book voucher to spend on books of her choice.
Well done to all who took part – and keep reading!
