Always one for making the most of opportunities, Mr Booth (our ICT manager) recently urged staff to enter a competition on behalf of the school to win a mobile classroom. Not one of those huts that parents might remember shivering in during their own education – but a set of lap-tops with their own charging trolley that can be used virtually anywhere in the school.
Well, dutiful as we are, many staff entered the competition secure in the knowledge that we wouldn’t win a peanut. How wrong we were! We’re delighted to say that European Electronique have contacted us to say that we have won and the pro-books have arrived in school already. We are hugely grateful to European Electronique and to Microsoft (who jointly sponsored the competition) for the enhancement that this makes to our ICT facilities and to Mr Hyde whose entry won.
Our ICT facilities have improved significantly this year following major investment (thankfully aided by FASSA’s fundraising) to include a new ICT suite and we’re soon to have much faster connections and much greater capacity as we update and improve our broadband provision. We look forward to helping our students make the most of our new ICT resources.
