It was all smiles at All Saints as our outgoing Year 11 collected their GCSE results. Once again All Saints broke the 60% 5A* – C (including English and Maths) barrier with our second best set of results ever. Our headline figure was 61%, which is the highest figure of any local school (including English and Maths) for the second year in a row, and is a testament to the hard work of students and staff and to the excellent relationships and collaborations that exist between school and home.
Individual outstanding performances include: James Tufnail, with 8 A*s, 4 As and a special A that places him in the top 5% of the country for Further Maths; Lauren Payne with 8 A*s, 4 As and a B; Maddy Bell with 6 A*s and 7 As; Rebecca Miller with 6 A*s, 5 As and 2 Bs. Also scoring incredibly highly were Jake Perkins, Kate Seagan, Aimee Pack, Louise Clayton and Annie Pickard. However, the results aren’t just about the A*s and As, we are equally proud of every student that worked hard to get the highest grades they could – whatever grade that was – and we look forward to utilising these results as a motivational tool as we aim to do even better still in 2017
