Our Parents’ Workshops and Post 16 Opportunities Evening on Thursday 29 September 2016.
As you are aware it is especially important that students achieve the best grades they can at GCSE in both Maths and English. We are delighted to offer you workshops, covering both Maths and English, to look at how you might best support your child in these subjects. We want to ensure that your child gets every piece of available support to achieve the grades that will provide the ‘passport’ for the next step in his/her career – whether it be employment, Apprenticeship, Further Education or Sixth Form.
Parents and students need to be aware that students who don’t achieve a good grade in English and Maths will be required to continue to study for these exams wherever they are next year.
In addition to the workshops in Maths and English, we will also be running an information session on Post 16 Opportunities.
The programme for the evening, held in the main school hall, is as follows:
6.00pm – 6.30pm English Advice
6:30pm – 7.00pm Post 16 Advice
7.00pm – 7.30pm Maths Advice
We are sure you will find the presentations useful to support your child in this important year of their education and we look forward to seeing you on 29 September.
