Missed Open Evening? Never fear, click here to see the fun we had!
Dear Year 6 Student,
Welcome to All Saints!
As part of the year 7 team I look forward to meeting you in your primary school at first and then later to welcome you at All Saints. We know that starting secondary school can be a daunting experience and that you will have lots of questions. We will be able to answer those before you start in September so that beginning year 7 does not seem quite so scary.
Once you have been allocated a place at All Saints, you will take part in our “Welcome to All Saints” evening to meet your new classmates and teachers. Your parents will get to meet you new form tutors in June, and you will meet your new tutor group and some of your teachers on Transfer Day.
We will allocate you tutor groups but, before doing this, we will ask you who your friends are so that you are in a tutor group with some people you work well with.
Year 7 is hard work but it is also a lot of fun. Through the year we will run some year 7 trips where you can get to know each other better. In previous years we have taken year 7 bowling, ice-skating and to Splashdown in Tower Park.
We want you to do your best at All Saints and have a good experience here and we will do everything we can to help you achieve this.
We look forward to meeting you.
Mrs P. Gardiner, Assistant Head of Year 7, Transition.
How are our current Year 7s settling in?
Once starting Year 7 you’ll face different challenges and learn how to mature as a young adult. We asked four of our current Year 7 students how they’re settling in at All Saints. They have given us a realistic approach to how the transition from Year 6 to Year 7 actually feels.
Our welcome booklet will give you all the vital information you need about All Saints Church of England School. Click here to start reading.
