U13 Girls Football Tournament organised by Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust
On Friday 20th November, All Saints took 2 teams to the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust U13 girls football tournament hosted at Huish Park. Both teams made great starts winning their first games. Team 1 beating Heathfield School 2-0 and team 2 beating Selwood 1-0. The tournament was played in great spirits despite a wet start to the day with both teams putting in some respectable performances. It was a pleasure to see the year 7 and 8 girls mixing so well and creating some good chances. Team 1 managed to win 2 of their games and finished 3rd in their group. Team 2 had it all to play for going into the last game in their group. If they were to win by 3 goals or more they would have qualified for the quarter finals on goal difference, unfortunately they lost their last game 2-0 and ended up finishing 4th. All girls who represented All Saints should be proud of their performances and efforts on the day. Special mentions to Samantha Whelton-Legg who was excellent in goal for team 2, Marley Barton who was a great leader for team 1, India Hyndman who showed an outstanding work rate and Ellie Porter for scoring the goal of the day from an All Saints player.
