In maths, our year 7 students have been cracking codes and replicating dance moves. We started the term off deciphering codes used throughout history to get secret messages passed on. Such codes were used by Julius Ceasar and the Masons. This led to learning about algebra and substituting into expressions. The pupils then had a go at creating their own hidden messages.
In other lessons, pupils have been replicating choreographed reflected dance moves to demonstrate symmetry. This led to a greater understanding of transformations and an excellent opportunity to learn outside the classroom.
